Spark's Land acknowledgement recognizes the Indigenous People and their traditional connection to the land on which Spark is situated. Spark honours and respects the historical and ongoing relationship between Indigenous communities and the Land.

TELUS Spark is a registered educational charity. As a non-for-profit science centre, our purpose is clear – Spark exists to lift people up with the power of curiosity. ​

When we invest in curiosity, we invest in the future. Curiosity is the foundation of learning, discovery, and innovation - it's the heartbeat of science. Every dollar goes directly to supporting science programming and education that engages and connects with people of all ages and backgrounds each year.

Through the Keep Calgary Curious Campaign, Spark is seeking $45 million in support over the next five years from government, philanthropic leaders, corporate partners and individuals in the community to transform the science centre into one of the world’s leading science experiences.

To ensure the ticket price is not a barrier to access, Spark operates an access program that supports students, families and individuals requiring financial assistance to enter Calgary’s science centre.

This renewable energy infrastructure project is a key a part of The City of Calgary’s Climate Resilience Strategy– establishing a hub for small-scale renewable energy for Spark and the community of Renfrew and reducing greenhouse gas emissions, all while providing shelter for vehicles from the elements.

Beakerhead

In April 2022, TELUS Spark Science Centre merged with Beakerhead and joined forces to engage and inspire more people and communities with science and technology. With Beakerhead and Spark working together, the future of science in communities across Calgary looks brighter than ever before!
