What’s the Purple Galaxy Pass?

It’s your all-access pass to a full year of science-fueled fun! Grade 7 students get unlimited general admission to TELUS Spark from August 2025 through August 2026—totally free.

Why Grade 7?

Because it’s a time for big questions and even bigger ideas. The Purple Galaxy Pass is designed to spark curiosity, fuel creativity, and connect students with the world of STEAM—Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math.

Who’s Eligible?

Students entering Grade 7 in fall 2025 who attend school within Calgary or surrounding communities including:

Calgary Board of Education
Calgary Catholic School District
Rocky View Schools
Palliser School Division
The Siksika, Kainai, Piikani, Tsuut’ina, and Stoney Nakoda Nations.

What’s Included?

• Free general admission to TELUS Spark valid August 2025 through August 2026

How to sign up for the Purple Galaxy Pass?

Registration opens August 2025 at TELUS Spark. Bring your Parent/Guardian along with the filled-out form and your Grade 6 report card, school ID or a signed letter from a school administrator or teacher to TELUS Spark. A guest services team member will provide your child with a pass card, and video orientation, and a terms and conditions form to sign.

- What Cities/Towns are eligible to sign up for the Purple Galaxy Pass?
  Grade 7 students within a 40km radius of Calgary, plus the following school districts, Calgary Board of Education, Calgary Catholic School District, Rocky View County, Palliser School District, plus the Nations of Treaty 7. Cities and towns include, Airdrie, Chestermere, Okotoks, Cochrane, Bragg Creek, Diamond Valley, Langdon, Kermoa, Cheadle and all Treaty 7 Nations.
- How Long is the Purple Galaxy Pass good for?
  The Purple Galaxy Pass is valid from August 1st, 2025- August 31st, 2026.
- Can I sign up for the Purple Galaxy pass at any point in the school year?
  Students in Grade 7 may obtain their pass at any point in the school year, however, ALL passes will expire on August 31st, 2026.
- We just bought a membership for our Grade 7 child, what should we do?
  Your TELUS Spark Science Center membership offers more benefits, such as parking, discounts at the store eatery and cafe as well as reciprocal benefits.
- Our family membership expired, and we want to renew and want a Purple Pass; how can we go about that?
  The Purple Galaxy Pass is free for those in Grade 7, sign up your eligible child for the free. You can renew the remainder of you families passes and their TELUS Spark Science Center membership once the Purple Galaxy Pass expires.
- Can I upgrade my Purple Galaxy Pass into a family membership?
  No, a family membership is already a discounted membership.
- What Benefits do I get with the Purple Galaxy Pass?
  The Purple Galaxy Pass is a free pass, it allows the youth access to the Science Center, the Infinity Dome Theater movies, Live science demonstrations, and hands on experiences in Steven’s Lab. And a discounted youth membership for the following year.
- What's the difference between a regular TELUS Spark Science Center Membership and the Purple Galaxy Pass?
  A TELUS Spark Membership has loads of perks including; Year-round admission, free parking, 25% off guest admission tickets (Not applicable to special events,) 10% off at the Spark Store, Eatery and Astronaut Ice Cream Cafe, discounts for camps and programs, unlimited Infinity Dome Shows and discounted rides on Ro5ie the robo-coa5ter!

- Do adults get in for free, when their kid has a Purple Galaxy Pass?
  The Purple Galaxy Pass covers the pass holder's admission, and once a month they will receive a 25% discount on one guest general admission.
- I lost my card; how do I replace it?
  Visit the guest services desk on your next visit and we can replace the card.
- Does the Purple Galaxy Pass get me into other Science Centers?
  No, the Purple Galaxy Pass does not include admission to other Science Centers.
- Do I get a discount for Ro5ie rides with my Purple Galaxy Pass?
  No, the Purple Galaxy Pass does not include any discounts for Ro5ie rides.
- Is the Purple Galaxy Pass transferable?
  The Purple Galaxy Pass is not transferable.
- Is there a discount for the Store, Birthday parties, camps or the Eatery and Astronaut Cafe?
  No, the Purple Galaxy Pass does not include any discounts to the store, on birthday bookings, camps or the Eatery/cafe.
- Does the Purple Galaxy Pass come with free parking?
  No, the Purple Galaxy Pass does not include Parking.
