Accessibility Inside Spark


To ensure the ticket price is not a barrier to access for underserved populations, Spark operates an access program that supports students, families and individuals requiring financial assistance to enter Calgary’s science centre.

These include:

Not-for-Profit Partnerships, School Board Partnerships, Summer Camperships. Fair Entry Program, New Canadians.

Sensory Backpacks

Supporting children living with sensory processing disabilities. Variety – the Children’s Charity has created Sensory Backpacks filled with resources for self regulation, tactile input, attention focusing tools, and body awareness support items. Sign one out free of charge at Front of House for a better guest experience at Spark! Visitors may be asked for a small deposit or photo ID to rent a Sensory Backpack.

TELUS Spark is wheelchair accessible. The classrooms, theatres, galleries and the Atrium are welcoming for people of all abilities. Wheelchairs are available for use and can be requested at the front admissions desk. Visitors may be asked for a small deposit or photo ID to rent a wheelchair.

Service Dogs

TELUS Spark welcomes certified public access service dogs accompanying guests with disabilities.


There are two elevators available for public use. One is located by the front entrance and the other is in the atrium between Energy and Innovation and Earth and Sky.

Public Transportation

The closest c-train station is the Calgary Zoo station, located 10 mins walk away from Spark.
