Got what it takes to predict the weather? In this program, Spark educators will turn classrooms into meteorological stations! Students will create weather forecasts, explore climate phenomena and learn what they can do to help Earth thrive – all with direct ties to Alberta curriculum.
This week-long in-school program introduces students to the inspiring world of coding and robotics (with no coding experience required)! In a series of workshops, students will learn about the connections between hardware and software, foundational concepts of coding languages, coding literacy and debugging.
Build it and they will come...to a science exhibit that is! DIY Science Centre is a semester-long prototype-building challenge that gives students the opportunity to work together and create an original science exhibit, in collaboration with Spark Science Guides and local STEAM professionals.
It’s the science centre on a field trip...straight into the classroom! Includes all the bells and whistles from a magic science trunk of gadgets, gizmos and beakers. This is a unique educational experience that closely mirrors what is offered at the science centre.
Teachers, take your class out of the classroom for one whole week spent at the science centre! Chevron Open Minds Science School is a five-day program that will take students on adventures throughout Spark to answer those big science questions.
