Colonel Joshua Kutryk is a Canadian Space Agency astronaut, Royal Canadian Air Force Colonel, fighter pilot, experimental test pilot, and engineer born in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta. He holds four advanced degrees, has flown over 40 aircraft types across more than 4,000 hours, and has been deployed to conflicts in Libya and Afghanistan. He was selected as a CSA astronaut in 2017 and is currently assigned to NASA's SpaceX Crew-13 mission to the ISS — making him the first CSA astronaut to fly as part of NASA's Commercial Crew Program.
He grew up on a cattle farm in eastern Alberta. Now he's going to space.
