SINEW made its debut in May of this year as a full length 38-minute work adapted to the intimate space of The Dark Arts Restaurant and Drink. The one night only event produced, choreographed, and performed by Ashley Mae and Cindy Ansah, moved their interests towards ideas of relational intimacy.

Steely T & The Art Cars

This mutant turtle is going to have testudinologists (turtle scientists) scratching their heads, because it’s not often that you see a monster-sized turtle with flashing lights and flame throwers. Make friends with Steely and his pals the pirate ship, skull scooter and Beakerheads very own Pi-mobile for a vehicular parade of novel proportions.

Kakatoos’ina (Star Chief), Rob Cardinal is a proud Siksika Astronomer and technologist with the honor of being the STEM Coordinator at the Siksika Board of Education. He is an intergenerational survivor of the trauma of colonization, residential schools and the 60's scoop.

Jonathan began his creative journey making dinosaurs and superheroes out of plasticine, and spaceships and dune buggies out of LEGO. He has more or less remained true to that path throughout his subsequent 40-year career as a maker / engineer / inventor / artist.

Most people will know Paul by one of his artist handles – The PRGM (Visual Arts and VJ) or Paul Who?(Audio Design/DJ), but lately as the Chief Imagineer at B!G ART. A certified BFA dropout and BComm graduate, Paul embodies the proverbial working-artist.

Dion Kelly is a 4th-year PhD Candidate in Neuroscience and a Vanier Scholar at the University of Calgary. She is the clinical lead for the BCI4Kids program at the Alberta Children's Hospital: the first child- and family-focused brain-computer interface (BCI) research program in the world.
