Dust off your boots and polish your spurs because we’re headed way past the frontier. July’s Spark After Dark, powered by ATB, blasts the Wild West straight into outer space for a night of cosmic chaos, black holes, stargazing, live country music, and hands-on experiences that are truly out of this world.
Enjoy live music in the Moon Saloon, featuring local country music stars, Ashley Ghostkeeper, Robert Adam, Chevy Beaulieu.
Whether you’re line dancing under the stars, building alien livestock at the Lunar Ranch in Steven's Lab, sipping a Caesar stacked higher than a rocket launch, or getting your mind blown inside the Infinity Dome, the whole science centre is yours to explore all night long, including all exhibits!

How do you grow food when there’s no soil, no rain, and you’re millions of kilometres from Earth? Step into the role of an off world grower in this hands on hydroponics workshop inspired by real space farming research.
Build your own mini hydroponic system using seeds from the Tomatosphere Project and discover how astronauts could grow food on future missions beyond Earth.
No experience needed. Just curiosity and a willingness to get your hands dirty.

CATCH THE HIGHLIGHTS
Keep an eye out for live demos, hands-on activities to get your science on, music performances, and talks throughout the evening. Floor staff will point you in the right direction, just ask!
STAY FOR THE PARTY
As the night rolls on, the energy picks up. Hit the dance floor, fuel up at the Spark Eatery, and keep it going until last call.
Tickets will be available at the door, but previous Spark After Dark events have sold out. Booking ahead is strongly encouraged.
