The Quest for the Black Leopard

How do you get within 1 meter of a lion’s open mouth? Catch a camera-shy black leopard on film? Or get underneath a wild African elephant? You have to get creative!

Take a virtual trip and Zoom into the African Savanna with renowned wildlife photographer Will Burrard-Lucas. Learn how this photographer combines his love for art and science to get up close and personal with some of the world’s rarest animals. Learn about his techniques, experiences, and Camtraptions like his BeetleCam, that allows him to capture some of Africa's most iconic animals.

Spark presents Direct From Africa, as a virtual opportunity for any and all students to connect with Will and to take a look through the lens of this wildlife photographer.


Individual Students

Will Burrard-Lucas is a wildlife photographer, originally from the UK, who spend much of his time in countries in Africa. He uses a combination of technology and innovation to photograph wildlife in new ways.
