An outdoor space created through stories, ceremony, and community. With guidance from Elders, Knowledge Keepers, and Indigenous community members, the Gathering Circle invites everyone to connect with the Land, the Cosmos, and with one another. It is a place to gather, learn, teach and grow.

Plant Ancestors making the Gathering Circle home include: Saskatoon Berry, Choke Cherry, Goldenrod, Strawberry, Wild Rose, Kinnikinik, Red Willow (Red Osier Dogwood), Wild Onion, Thistle, and Yarrow.
There are close connections between the quantum world and Indigenous science and spirituality, and hence Spark worked closely with Dr. Leroy Little Bear (Kainai) and Rob Cardinal (Siksika) to weave together these ways of knowing science. Within an Indigenous worldview, all is alive and in motion, and connected through energy and spirit. These connections are embraced and expanded when in relationship and in ceremony, where the parameter of human senses are opened, allowing us to learn from the more-than-human.

A combo of Roasted Tomato Relish, Pickled Onion, Lettuce & Chipotle, Lime Sauce, Beef Brisket on top of a soft, fresh piece of Bannock, created with a recipe from Indigenous Chef, Russ Baker. Nehiyaw from Northern Alberta, Ahtahkakoop/Saskatchewan, Lheidli T’enneh/Carrier BC, Irish/Norwegian.
Bison (buffalo), are significant for many Indigenous peoples; they have provided food, shelter, clothing, and materials to make glue, tools, and much more. This burger is coated in smoky BBQ sauce, topped with melted jack cheese, crisp lettuce, and a kick of chipotle aioli.

Saskatoon berry compote, chocolate curls, Nootka rose sugar, and crunchy pemmican bits. Pemmican was a traditional high-energy food made with dried bison meat, fat, and berries, like an early power bar, packed with nutrients to fuel long hunts and winters.
Spark is grateful to the peoples who have been caretakers and stewards of this Land, allowing us to thrive on this Land today, where many cultures and Indigenous peoples from across Turtle Island, live together in peace and respect.
