Let’s dig with Paleontologist, Cory Gross! Using our imaginations, photos, and real specimens of rocks, fossils, and meteorites, we will pretend to excavate beneath the city of Calgary and investigate what our city was like during the Ice Age and the Age of Dinosaurs, learn how Alberta’s vast oil reserves formed, and gaze back to the origins of life and the beginnings of the Earth itself!
Join us for an exciting hands-on paleontology dig at the science center this Earth Weekend! Kids will become junior paleontologists as they uncover fossils trapped in ice, learning about ancient creatures that roamed our planet. Using tools and techniques of real scientists, participants will explore the fascinating world of paleontology while discovering how climate change has impacted our earth.
