Why Calgary (and the world) needs this Spark!

Good Chemistry takes good timing. This campaign is a perfect partner for disruptive times like these, where science has never been more relevant and the truth has never been more important.

At its core, it's a complete re-imagining of Spark – to electrify newly renovated spaces and experiences, to lift youth and adult educational programming into the stratosphere, and to make as many deep connections between young minds and the fields of science, technology, engineering and math as humanly possible.

RENOVATED SPACES

New immersive experiences and renovations are needed in the atrium and all four major galleries. The addition of free experiential spaces outside the front and back entrances of the building will increase access for all community members. Indigenous ways of knowing are infused in program offerings.

LEARN BEFORE YOU LEAD

Being an innovation leader means you need to step out in front to develop and share expertise. Spark will specialize in adult learning programs from science communications and teacher training to corporate team-building and workshops - this is how innovation leads the future.

BABIES’ BRAINS

Developing brains are a priority at Spark and new programming supported by trained staff will engage parents alongside their children to build enduring capacity and resilience in all family members. A wide range of cultural practices and approaches will be embraced and highlighted.
