Youth Education Assistant

Position Description

Spark sees hundreds of students come through its doors every day to have amazing educational experiences – whether self-guided or in the classroom. As a Youth Education Assistant, you will support the Spark Education team’s administrative infrastructure so that we can continue to push the boundaries of high-quality informal education experiences.


  • Weekday daytime during the school year (September to June)
  • Schedule: flexible based on agreement with the Education team
  • Commitment: two or more shifts per month

Key Responsibilities

  • Creating and maintaining a database of schools attending Spark education programs
  • Generating booking statistics and reports
  • Researching homeschool networks in districts across southern Alberta

Desired Skills and Qualifications

This position is best suited for someone who is:

  • Organized
  • An effective written and verbal communicator
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel


  • Mandatory volunteer orientation: March 21 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM
  • Current police check (18+)
