Video Specialist

Position Description

TELUS Spark runs a wide array of different programs, initiatives, and projects. In order to effectively communicate to the public, participants, and funders, Spark needs to advertise these initiatives across different media. As a Video Specialist, you will film, interview participants, and edit footage to create short promotional/impact videos for our community access and volunteer programs.

Availability

  • Schedule: times are flexible; some weekend and weekday daytime availability is required for filming
  • Commitment: to be negotiated with program staff

Key Responsibilities

  • Proposing and managing project timelines
  • Generating appropriate questions and scripts
  • Filming
  • Interviewing community partners, clients, and volunteers
  • Video editing and production

Desired Skills and Qualifications

This position is best suited for someone who:

  • Has experience filming and producing short promotional or testimonial videos
  • Has access to and is proficient with filming equipment and editing software
  • Is comfortable working with people – especially diverse groups
  • Is able to work independently
  • Is organized

Requisites

  • Mandatory volunteer orientation: September 29 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Police clearance
