Calling all Minecraft experts 18 and under!
Spark is excited to introduce Flint to guests! But there is a problem...Flint needs a home. First, meet Flint when visiting the science centre. Next, jump on a laptop and give your design skills a whirl on Minecraft: Education Edition to design a house for Flint.
Thanks to an amazing anonymous donor, Flint is joining Calgary's family of loveable dogs as the newest mascot for science communication! As an empathy-building exercise, Spark is asking guests to flex their Minecraft muscles and design a home for Flint in the Education Edition of this popular video game.
Guests 18 years of age and under can get involved by signing up in the Atrium area (adjacent to Flint’s backyard) for a 30-minute design time-slot. There will be some traditional design materials (paper, pencil) to practice while waiting for a computer to become available. Contest on until February 28th, 2022.
Thanks to all of the participants who submitted their creative designs. Flint is about to be a very lucky robo-pup! A winner will be chosen by March 15, 2022.
