TELUS Spark ignites a passion for discovery and fuels innovation for hundreds of thousands of visitors annually. Calgary’s new Science Centre is a place in our community to foster the next generation of great thinkers and do-ers by building essential 21st Century Learning Skills like critical thinking, risk taking and innovation. TELUS Spark provides opportunities for visitors of all ages to explore exhibits and programs that help them discover just how incredible they are.
As a not-for-profit organization we cover the costs of our operations in a variety of ways, including through admissions, memberships, public programs, facility rentals, government funding and donations from corporations, foundations and individuals just like you!
Every dollar donated to TELUS Spark strengthens our ability to provide opportunities to inspire our visitors though hands-on exhibits, interactions and explorations of science, art and technology.

Gift of Shares:
Would you like to avoid paying taxes on capital gains realized from the sale of stocks? By donating shares to TELUS Spark you will receive a tax receipt for the full value of your shares and you will not be taxed on the capital gain! The process is easy; all you need to do is complete our Gift of Shares form.

A Gift in Your Will/Bequests:
A will is a simple and cost effective way to ensure that your final wishes are respected. You can choose to either give an exact amount or a percentage of the residue (amount remaining after beneficiaries, expenses, and taxes have been paid). When adding TELUS Spark as a beneficiary, please consider the following sample wording:
“I give to the Calgary Science Centre & Creative Kids Museum Society, charitable number (BN) 118781079 RR 0001,
___ % of the residue of my estate (or the sum of $___) for purposes determined by its board of directors.”

A Gift In Honour Of:
Is someone special in your life celebrating a birthday, anniversary or significant milestone in their life? Do they insist on not receiving gifts yet you would like to honour them with something special? Make a gift to TELUS Spark on their behalf. We will send them a letter acknowledging your gift in honour of them.
