Why should I join?
In addition to enjoying free admission all year long and member-only benefits, your support will help to provide significant operating funding for TELUS Spark, and directly support the ongoing development of exploration, exhibitions and education programs. TELUS Spark is a not-for-profit organization.
Please remember that members get unlimited free admission to TELUS Spark. Non-members will be charged general admission on their visit.
What are the membership options?
There are three membership levels at TELUS Spark: CHARTER, GOLD and GREEN. All memberships include unlimited admission to the four galleries and Creative Kids Museum 364 days a year. Further details about the membership benefits are available here sparkscience.ca/members.
Can I purchase Green and Gold memberships together?
All members in the same household will be processed in the same membership category, i.e. all GREEN or all GOLD, in order to maintain family content and benefit consistency. We do not offer a combined option.
What is a Charter Membership?
Until December 31, 2011 there was a limited opportunity to become a founding member of TELUS Spark. Charter Membership sales are now closed.
My child doesn’t drive, why would I buy Gold membership for my Child?
With the exception of complimentary parking, Gold Child members will have access to exclusive Gold benefits such as: priority registration, member-priced programs and member-priced Dome admission. Gold Child members will have registration priority for programs such as our very popular summer camps!
What if I already have a Special Exhibition Pass from the old TELUS World of Science?
Special Exhibition Pass holders from TELUS World of Science get free general admission to TELUS Spark until January 31, 2012.
When will the Membership pay for itself?
Depending on which membership level you choose, your membership will pay for itself in 3 to 5 visits.
How many membership cards will I receive?
Each individual member will receive a membership card with their photograph, except children under 3. Children under 3 are free!
When will I receive my membership cards?
Membership cards will be issued on your first visit.
When does my Membership begin?
You can begin using your membership right away. Your membership begins at time of purchase, not when the cards are picked up. If you are purchasing a gift of membership and wish the recipients to choose when their membership begins, we suggest giving a gift card in the amount of the membership. To purchase gift cards visit the Admission Desk at TELUS Spark during regular hours of operation.
Do you have a family membership?
Our flexible pricing structure allows you to build your own membership based on the size of your family. There is not a one-size fits all family-priced membership. All memberships significantly reduce the admission cost for frequent visitors.
How much does it cost to park at TELUS Spark?
Parking is $5 per vehicle.
Can a friend or family member use my card?
Membership benefits and membership cards are not transferable and are valid for only those individuals listed on the membership card. Each member will receive their own membership card when they join. Please encourage your friends to become members so you can visit together.
Can I use my membership card at other museums and science centres?
Yes. We have reciprocal admission agreements with North American and international science centres and museums. Reciprocal privileges may vary among participating institutions. Please call before your out-of-town visit.
Why don’t you offer a student membership level for students over 18?
TELUS Spark values students immensely. In order to maintain a vibrant and exciting Science Centre we must do everything we can to keep our operating budget in balance, and we are not able to offer a student rate for memberships. All memberships give you free year-round admission to TELUS Spark, and pay for themselves in 3-5 visits, depending on which membership level you choose. TELUS Spark makes every effort to keep the price of membership affordable and you will find that our membership rates are in line with other non-profit institutions. Why not become a TELUS Spark volunteer? In return for your volunteer hours you can receive an annual membership to TELUS Spark.
