Join us for SMASH! on August 11 and 12

Discover the science behind destruction with a weekend of smash-themed activities.
Don't miss special appearances by Calgary Stampeders on Saturday 2:00-4:30 p.m.

There's no need to register! All programs and events are included with admission and membership.

Activities include:

• Will it Smash? Liquid nitrogen is so cold that anything frozen by it is easy to smash—or is it? Find out in this special activity "Will it Smash?". Have something you'd like us to test? Bring it down! We'll choose the objects that look fun—and safe—to test for their smash ability. *Get creative with what you bring down, but please be aware that we may not be able to accept all items that are brought down and reserve the right to refuse any that could be dangerous to use!
• Test out the impact of objects launched from a trebuchet
• Check out Calgary Kyokushin Karate as they demonstrate their board smashing skills
• Plus don't miss special appearances by members of the Calgary Stampeders on Saturday 2:00-4:30 p.m! CFL members and Stampeders Jon Cornish (running back), Corey Mace (defensive lineman), Edwin Harrison (offensive lineman) and Rene Paredes (kicker), will be onsite, taking part in a range of activities and helping visitors explore all things Smash! Activities with the Stampeders include: accuracy testing where visitors will be able to test their own football throw against that of the pros; testing blocking pads with visitor help; riding human hovercrafts, and more. Autograph signing will be available and the Stamps will giveaway two signed footballs to two lucky fans who wear Stampeders red on Saturday!
