January 12 Adults Only Night: Re-Mix!

Science, technology and art will collide in unexpected ways at the next TELUS Spark Adults Only Night. From 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. on January 12, explore the potential of Re-mix with us.

Re-engineer, re-create, re-combine and re-invent. Discover and harness the power of transformation.

Here's just a sample of what you can expect this Thursday:

• Enjoy tunes remixed by DJ Teddy Celebration
• Re-invent vinyl masterpieces in an analog mash-up in Open Studio
• Re-engineer scribblerbots, lo-fi, high-tech devices that make a mark as they skitter across paper, in Energy & Innovation and watch them turn into evolving art!  
  • Your creations will be let loose in a constructed cardboard landscape, forming something that no one involved could predict and that’s only possible because of the participants. The constantly re-mixing artwork will be relocated to Truck’s +15 window at the Epcor Centre for Performing Arts.
• Re-combine common materials with shadows to create unexpected collaborative canvasses in the Atrium
• Re-mix landscape paintings to create new art through paint and collage in Earth & Sky
• Re-create musical instruments to build new sounds in the Creative Kids Museum
• Re-think identity in Being Human. We'll be piloting potential exhibits centered around identity and want you to tell us what you think…
